About a month ago when I returned from Cambodia, I posted two of my favorite shots from the trip, portraits of two monks taken at Angkor Wat. Since I was in a rush to get everything uploaded from the trip, I neglected to post these shots, also taken from the same day. The monks were gracious enough to allow me to photograph as they wandered around and took pictures themselves.

I came upon your blog a bit back (maybe when it was freshly pressed?) and bookmarked it… these photos are really great. I especially love the seeming incongruities in some of the shots… monks with photo cameras… I saw that often often when I lived in Asia but somehow it always seems strange to me! Really lovely.
Thanks! Yeah, I’ve noticed that as someone who grew up in the US, it’s hard to not be fascinated by the various ways of life here. Now I’m wondering what “reverse culture shock” will be like when I return to the US!
